Hello, and welcome to the website with all the news about InterVarsity at UW-Oshkosh.
To tell you a little about myself; first off, my name is Andy Thoman – I am on Staff with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship (IV) at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. Both me and my wife Megan are originally from Monroe, WI. Both of us attended and graduated from UW-Oshkosh (UWO). We got married in July of 2013. I studied Radio/TV/Film and Religious Studies at UWO, and I was very involved with IV as a student. Ever since I was young I have felt calling me into full time ministry, and shortly after college, God called me to join staff with IV. As an IV staff worker, I work with the community on campus in Oshkosh to train and disciple students to be world changers. UWO IV’s vision is to be a community devoted to Jesus who fight for people with love, prayer, and unrestrained compassion. The ministry in Oshkosh is still young and is focusing on developing student leadership programs to help it be more sustainable on campus. There are many unique opportunities through the Oshkosh chapter, one being that it is very multiculturally diverse – making it easier to reach people with diverse backgrounds with the Gospel of Christ. If you would like to partner with me in affecting the campus of UWO for God’s Kingdom through prayer and/or financial support, please contact me by email (firstname.lastname@example.org) or phone (608-214-8201).
